Youth sailors who have outgrown the Hawk and are looking to further develop their skills in dinghy racing. The Club will be chartering 5 ILCA 4 from the Victorian Laser Association (ILCAVic) to enable this training opportunity. Register by 3rd April.
The goal of the training is to:
- Introduce Youth to ILCA 4 sailing
- Develop racing skills in ILCA 4
- Build belonging and friendship group within the Somers Yacht Club community
When: Wednesday to Friday 10-12th April, 9am to 1pm (boat ready by 9am, be there at 8.30am)
Saturday 13th April 1pm to 4.30pm Club Racing (Div 5)
Where: Somers Yacht Club
Who: Youth Somers YC members (12 yo and above) who have completed Start Racing and are keen to further develop their skills in dinghy racing.
How much:
- $60 if you own a ILCA 4
- $90 if you will use a Victorian Laser Association ILCA 4
Note: This is not an Australian Sailing accredited course and instead is conducted by the school/club/organisation, outside of the Australian Sailing framework.
