Youth Fundraiser: Sailing + Sports Gear Sale/Auction - and Cake Stand

YOUTH FUNDRAISER: Saturday, 30 Nov. 2024.
* 12noon - 4pm: Yard Sale + Silent Auction in the Boat Yard.
* 5pm: LIVE Auction Upstairs in the Clubhouse with Special Guest Auctioneer (and SsYC member), Andrew Wright from The Coast Real Estate, our amazing and long-standing Youth Sponsor!

The Youth Committee is running a Second-hand Sailing + Sports Gear Sale & Auction on 30 November!
Please donate any good-quality new or used sailing or sports gear that you no longer use - so we can sell or auction it off, for others to enjoy! All money raised will be used to fund activities and equipment for our Youth Members this season!
How will it work?
• FIND ITEMS TO DONATE: Gather up any good quality sailing or sports gear that you no longer use, but which someone else might enjoy. See the list below for ideas of items to donate!
• DROP OFF: Drop your donations off at the Club on Saturday afternoons - there are collection tubs in the foyer.
• BROWSE + BUY AT THE SALE / PLACE A BID AT THE SILENT AUCTION: Come to the club on Sat. 30 October between 12 noon and 4pm, for our YARD SALE when donated 2nd hand items will be on sale - and some special new items will be up for SILENT AUCTION (write your bid on the list, if yours is the highest bid at the end of the day, you win!). Have a browse and grab a bargain! And buy a treat from our cake stand!
• COME TO THE LIVE AUCTION: Special items will be auctioned off to the highest bidder after the race presentation at 5pm on the same day, Sat. 30 November, by our Special Guest Auctioneer (and SsYC member), Andrew Wright, from The Coast Real Estate our amazing, long-stading Youth Sponsor!
• Any items not sold on the day will be donated to charity, or sailing gear may be added to our club collection of loan gear.
What items can I donate?
Any new or used sailing or sports equipment.
Used items must be in fair and useable condition - nothing broken or heavily soiled please: worn-in and pre-loved, but of a quality that you’d be happy to pass on to a friend to use is perfect!
SMALL ITEMS: like sailing gloves, sailing booties, sailing jackets, wetsuits, cat harnesses, flippers, cricket bats, tennis rackets, skateboards, soccer balls, hand weights, yoga mats, roller skates, basketballs, boules sets, etc are great.
BIG ITEMS: like bikes and surfboards,
