Just because we're on lockdown doesn't mean that racing is over.
Ever wanted to race boats without having to get wet, cold or tired? Well, now's your chance!
Throughout April and May of this year, members of Australian Sailing affiliated clubs will be competing in a series of virtual regattas to be crowned the inaugural Zhik Australian eSailng National Challenge champion.
The challenge will run across three stages, with the first stage being the Club Championships where clubs will host their own regattas on the Virtual Regatta platform to decide who will represent their club at the State Championships.
Somers will be running our Club Championship on the 8th May, with the 9th May set as a backup day, should there be technical issues, or there is a need to run a qualifying series.
The winner of the Club Championships will be nominated to represent Somers Yacht Club at the Victorian eSailing Championships.
Schedule (subject to change):
Saturday - Racing Commencing at 13:30
Sunday (if required) - Racing Commencing at 10:30
