Around French Island Race

Hello to all Past Competitors/Boat Associations/Yacht Clubs/friends of AFI,
We are excited to announce that we have added an Invitational Class for 2025, inviting Wetas to join the supersized Australian Air Safaris Around French Island. The Wetas will race in their own class and not for the overall Isle of Wight Trophy. In talking to the Weta association we are expecting 10-15 Wetas to compete.
ENTRIES ARE OPEN
We already have around 15 entries including from SA, NSW & Tasmania for next years event which is fantastic.
Visit:
Date: Saturday 15 February 2025 with the resail on Sunday 16 February 2025.
Start Time: Wetas 11am & Catamarans from 12pm
Come compete for not only the challenge but $10,000 in prize Money
Like Previous years we will be running prizes & trophies for:
- Isle of Wight Trophy (Outright Winner)
- Line Honours
- Division 1 (Yardstick Less than 69.5)
- Division 2 (Yardstick between 69.6 & 79.5)
- Division 3 (Yardstick between 79.6 & 83)
- All Female Crew
- First Female Skipper
- Wetas
2025 Sailing Instructions & Notice Of Race are attached (Catamaran & Weta versions)
Club Commodores, Rear Commodores & Sailing Captains, if you know of any other sailors/members/competitors who should take on this event please share this email with them and let us know their email so we can make 2025 the biggest event yet!

We are working on delivering an interstate travel rebate as per 2024, this will depend of enteritis and sponsorship.
