CLUB SECURITY NOTICE Members – please make sure that the last person leaving the premises locks up, secures and arms the alarm system to the building. You can do this via swiping your fob at the front door three times. The alarm is set when the light of the fob reader turns red. If in doubt lock the club up. REQUEST FROM THE TOWER We are looking for a donation of a camera tripod or table tripod for binoculars. We have the binocular mount already. SRA AGM this Sunday 24 November – CFA & Police guest speakers Are you “Fire Ready” for Summer, or aware of the neighbourhood services offered by our local police ? The Somers Residents Association will hold their AGM at Somers Yacht Club at 3pm Sunday 24 November. All members of the community are welcome. Our guest speakers will be Drew Jackson, Captain of Somers CFA and Senior Constable Steph Parsons who is Neighbourhood Police Co-ordinator on the Mornington Peninsula. FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER - 22nd November 2024 - PIZZA Due to unforeseen circumstances, our Friday night chef is returning to France for 4 - 5 weeks due to a family illness. We apologise for the inconvenience this causes and hope we will see you for dinner under the new arrangement. THIS WEEK’S NEW FRIDAY DINNER ARRANGEMENT: Friday 22nd November - Fontalina’s Pizza Night. Pizzas will arrive at the club at 6pm Positano - Tomato, mozarella, prawns, cherry tomatoes, garlic, chilli rocket Porcini - Taleggio, mozzarella, porcini mushrooms, garlic, truffle oil. RACE DAY LUNCHES Phase Two will be providing lunches on Race Days this season- this is open to all members and their guests not just sailors. So wander down to the club and watch the race over a bite to eat. Looking forward to seeing you there.
