YOUTH FUNDRAISER: SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, 30 Nov. 2024. Sale from 10am-4pm / Auction at 5pm
Following a great suggestion at the AGM, the Youth Committee will be running a Second-hand Sailing + Sports Gear Sale & Auction - and cake stand! - on 30 November!
Please donate any good-quality new or used sailing or sports gear that you no longer use - so we can sell or auction it off, for others to enjoy!
All money raised will be used to fund activities and equipment for our Youth Members this season!
How will it work?
• Gather up any good quality sailing or sports gear that you no longer use, but which someone else might enjoy. See the list below for ideas of items to donate!
• Drop your donations off to us at the Club on Sat. 19 Oct, 26 Oct, 2 Nov or 9 Nov from 1- 5pm.
• Come to the club on Sat. 30 October between 10 am and 4pm, when donated items will be on sale. Have a browse and grab a bargain! And buy a treat from our cake stand!
• Special items will be auctioned off to the highest bidder after the race presentation at 5pm on the same day, Sat. 30 November.
• Any items not sold on the day will be donated to charity, or sailing gear may be added to our club collection of loan gear.
What items can I donate?
Any new or used sailing or sports equipment.
Used items must be in fair and useable condition - nothing broken or heavily soiled please: worn-in and pre-loved, but of a quality that you’d be happy to pass on to a friend to use is perfect!
SMALL ITEMS: like sailing gloves, sailing booties, sailing jackets, wetsuits, cat harnesses, flippers, cricket bats, tennis rackets, skateboards, soccer balls, hand weights, yoga mats, roller skates, basketballs, boules sets, etc are great.
BIG ITEMS: like bikes and surfboards, please contact Marie Labat or Trish Low before dropping these off, so we can manage these:
